About me - Julie Roman

Hey there! So glad you’re here, curious about the face behind the camera – that’s me, your photographer! Maybe you’re interested in my personality just as much as my work, or you’re simply wondering why I chose this path.

I was born and raised in Ukraine, spent some time in the Middle East, and eventually settled in Mexico 12 years ago. It’s been the perfect place for me to live my dream life, surrounded by the sea and the cheerful vacation vibes of the people here.

Before falling in love with photography, I explored different artistic avenues like dancing, modeling, acting, and even worked as a kids’ entertainer at resorts. Connecting with people from all walks of life has always been my thing, which is why I learned English and Spanish – to communicate freely with everyone.

When photography entered my life, it was like finding the missing puzzle piece. It lets me blend my love for people and creativity seamlessly. I still groove to the beats of dance, and being a mom to an 8-year-old boy has made me a pro at connecting with young clients as well.

If you’re looking for a photographer for any occasion in the Rivera Maya look no further. I have been following her for years because I was obsessed with her work. We hired Yulia for our wedding in Tulum in Nov 2023 and she was absolutely amazing. I could not of asked for a better photographer for my wedding.
